There may be millions of people on Passion, but from what we've seen, there are a lot of wankers, fakes, game-players and wannabes. We're just getting back into things after a decade-long hiatus and just "sitting by the pool" for now. We know the water's great, but we prefer to sit and suck back a margarita or two for the time being.

I am so naive. I haven't been on Passion for a long, long time, and it has changed over the past decade. Either that or I have forgotten the culture here. Maybe a bit of both.
I just deleted a comment I'd made on a post after realizing the person's profile was more or less a storefront. Is that what it is? when someone accepts "tributes"? I'm a very genuine person, and I seek human connection. I have no time for fake people or those who deceive or exploit others. Passion, unfortunately, has a little bit of everything on it, including such people. I'm going to have to get better at discerning the reptiles from the warm-blooded mammals on here.
We aren't looking for soul mates or anything, but friendship is always a plus.

Just in case you got the end of our tome of a profile, which would make War and Peace seem like a novella, and went, "What, that's it?", we present to you...the blog. I have no idea how much I'll put on here, but since I tend to run at the mouth a bit (just a bit), I don't expect this to be the last post you'll see.
I just posted my 3000th comment on my other message board. Mr. intuition was less excited about it than me. He's not into message boards, blogs or whatever. That's fine. Online poker is his thing, and it has the same appeal to me as watching paint dry. We've all got our thing.. But 3000 posts represents about 10 years of thoughtful interaction with a great online community of like-minded souls. I've really enjoyed it.
Anyway, I thought maybe it was time to start posting some stuff on here instead. After all you get points here. Sweet. And a change of scenery is always good.
