Flu shot, oui-oui? ... Ain't that where they take dead flu tid-bits and blast 'em into your bloodstream? That sounds like it oughta work... just like a freakin' charm. I NEVER get sick. The secret is... isolation. Of course, I do get a little paranoid when I do finally come face-to-face with any other humans. So far, though... I ain't blown any chunks. Solar...

I could be wrong, but I think the flu shots are for the "fever bodyaches respiratory problems" variety of flu. I don't believe they do anything for what people call "stomach flu". There has been a LOT of that going around - multiple coworkers have been out with it and one said that her kid's pediatrician said that there are a lot more norovirus illnesses going around this winter. And in fact, here's what I just found on the CDC web site when I goggled it: New Strain of Norovirus In 2012, a new strain of norovirus was detected in Australia. It is called GII.4 Sydney. People in the U.S. and other countries have also been infected with the new strain. In the U.S., it is currently the leading cause of norovirus outbreaks. However, we do not yet know if the new strain will cause more norovirus illness than in other years. Of course, none of that reduces the misery you just went through! Sorry you had to deal with that, WE.

I don't take flu shots, WE. Never have! Instead I rely upon apples, oranges, a liquid nutritional supplement and premium quality Kentucky bourbon whiskey.
