This was/is a should I or shouldn't I post. In the end I thought fuck it why not. Hoping people will ulimately see the funny side.

So what do you think?

There are unfortunately no prizes as there is no correct answer. But yes it is me underneath the outfit. Fancy dress for a friends 40th.

But the intriguing thing is even though it was fake and I only got to play with it for the night. I now understand how men can always be playing with their own as I couldn't keep my hands off it!

Its past the end of the second friday the 13th of the year.
Yet again booked the day off work to ensure nothing can happen to me, yet it appears as though I haven't escaped scott free and that I've also had an overnight sex and name change.

After receiving what seems to be a weeks worth of mail in one day. Opened the last one and was a bit perturbed to see it was from a solicitors. Apparently my male counterpart has been a bit naughty and drove into the back a vehicle at some traffic lights. Owner of the vehicle is obviously seeking compensation. Problem is I have no idea who this bloke is, the registration number doesn't even match mine or my brothers. So either the solicitors have made an almighty admin error or someone has managed to get away with giving the wrong address or its the most elaborate scamming letter ever.

As from what I can make out the person who he crashed into, lives just up the road anyway and search shows the company to be legitimate. Am now trying to decide whether is it acceptable to pay them a visit or play safe and write an email to the solicitors.

Also today I got extremely annoyed with people just expecting me to drop everything to go and meet them. Erm, don't think so. But on a brighter note the gentleman I played bowls against tonight thought I was 23. My response... you just made a 32year old woman very happy.

As I've done a cracking job of making my blog a bit depressing. Thought I'd try and lighten the mood.

As predicted Tuesday was a horrible day whilst waiting for the news. Cried a couple of times, once whilst dropping my laptop in for some work. My IT dude is also an ex and one of the few people who know me better than I know myself. So he knew instantly something was wrong, cue the flood gates. Cried again in work when I came back from lunch to find the boss had nipped in and as he proceeded to nit pick over something trivial, I flipped out screaming 'I've got more fucking important things to worry about than that' and promptly burst into tears again and told him what was going on. In my defence I was still emotional from the prior episode and there was only a five minute gap between the two incidents and by this point I still hadn't heard any news. At work I do come across as a hard faced bitch, so he found out for the first time in 10 years that I do have the ability to cry. On the plus side he did the small trivial job himself and he said I could have whatever time off I needed.

Its 5pm by the time I learn anything, the instant I knew all my anxiousness, worry and stress disappeared and the relief I felt cannot be described.

You may now think that it was good news, but no my mum does have breast cancer. Even I can't understand why I am feeling such relief after bad news. Didn't even shed a tear of joy or sorrow. My boss says its shock, the ex and my best mate say that as now its all confirmed I've moved onto the acceptance and dealing with it stage, as I've already been through the worry and angst. Mum said she had the same effect, shes actually quite jovial about it presently. Joking about using fat from her arse to rebuild her breast. Even this morning she popped into my work with her hair freshly cut and coloured, I said whats the point in that its going to fall out soon. Bosses jaw dropped, mum however burst out laughing.

My brother is taking it quite badly, which is perfectly understandable, but in return makes me query my own reaction more.

When life gives you lemons...

....pray you like lemonade.

Recently I've had far to much lemonade and really need a break. Obviously I'm not speaking that literally. Let me explain.

I did disappear from here for a while, and even though it coincided with the appearance of an ex on here. There was an other different underlying reason. Namely my dad having brain tumour, no offence to you all but my family takes precidence. Luckily it was operable and surgery removed the tumour but the doctors hadn't properly determined the severity of the tumour. Dad had only known something was wrong when he completely lost his hearing in left ear. Quite a big symptom you may think but dad has had hearing difficulties since his childhood and relies on hearing aids. The NHS dismissed his complaint as just his hearing getting worse, but knowing his own body better than anyone else he sought a second opinion. Luckily for us his employers provide health insurance, so one consultation and scan later, one tumour diagnosed. Who knows what would of happened if we'd of relied on the NHS and as mentioned even the private docs messed up. Not only did they get the size wrong but the pressure of the tumour had already caused the bones in his ear canal to break. Creating the permanent deafness in that ear that had prompted him to seek attention in the first place.

So now with his recovery done and a clean bill of health aside from his hearing, you think I'd be happier now. Alas not. For I have had a shit end to a shit bank holiday weekend, aside from the failure of friday and working saturday morning. News I received on sunday has still left me speechless.

Whilst at the parents on sunday for the traditional easter sunday roast. My brother and I get told the news that mum is waiting for news on tests from two biopsies taken from lumps in her breasts. I presently am hoping for the best, I need something to go right for me at least once.

So tomorrow is going to be a horrible day for me, the first day back after a long bank holiday, the first day back for my boss after his holiday who'll do nothing but meither and I'll be a bag of nerves all day anyway as I wait for the news from my parents. I know god damn well I'm going to cry, but I'd prefer them to be tears of joy.

I'm annoyed again which at the moment is the nice way of saying extremely pissed off.

Some readers will already know that I face a constant battle with men cancelling meetings. Sometimes with the worlds lamest excuse. Yes thats right its happened again, I now need to take my socks off to aid the counting of how many times this has occurred.

The more it happens the more intolerant I get to being messed around. I've stopped giving second chances a while ago thanks to some repeat offenders.

If your not going to follow through on a meet, then for fucks sake don't fucking arrange one. Its not a difficult notion to figure out.

Even after my recent post about lighter storage. I encountered a problem that annoyed me. Invited for a girls night out on saturday, I couldn't go due to lack of monetary funds. I ended up falling asleep on the sofa anyway at 8pm though but hey!

During work this morning a customer had an electronic cigarette. I had read about them when they were first introduced but had always thought they wouldn't catch on. Being as curious as I am asked the customer how much they differed, to be met with the simple response of 'cheaper' and they let me have a drag on it. There honestly is no difference, they taste the same, you still get the nicotine and they even produce water vapour to give the smoke effect. As being a little bit rushed didn't really get to ask much more.

Having just spent a good hour or so of research, guess who has just purchased her first electronic cigarette. Yes I mean me

For many simple reasons other than cost, which are
-no tar or other chemicals
-no smell
-no staining of skin or teeth
-apparently legal indoors as no harmful smoke

The cost of course helps as it works out at £8 a week rather than £8 per day and I never want to have to say no to a girls night out again.

Some may comment why don't you just give up. To put it simply I do not want to give up, I will quit when I want to quit. I am aware that most of the stress/nerve calming aspect is purely psychological but until I manage to find another job it is the only thing stopping me from committing murder on a daily basis.

Ladies, in particular those who share my addiction to nicotine.

Tired of not being able to find a light?

Fed up of strangers asking for a light and then robbing your lighter?

My solution stick it in your bra!

One of my friends hides her purse and phone in her cleavage, but that doesn't work so well if your wearing a tight top. Square shaped bust is never a good look.

Pic pretty much sums everything up, those who refuse to listen, those who listened but seemed to have missed the point completely and then deny it and to those who have riled me so much lately.

No its not what your thinking, though I wish it was!

As the weather has taken a turn for the better and long may it last, the task begins of tackling the garden. After months of being untouched it was attacked with a vengeance last weekend. Although I may have over done it a little as my body is not used to the physical exertion. My arms still ache, my back aches from bending and my legs ache from squatting.

I don't think I did myself many favours by decimating six trees that I've wanted to get rid of for a while, but have been unable to do so as my neighbours weren't the nicest bunch of people. As they have been evicted/repossessed I thought I'd jump at the opportunity as I didn't need to ask permission. Sounds odd I know with the trees being on my land but it was the only fence line between my back garden and theirs. So it is now very much open plan which couldn't be done before.

With trees down and derooted, area cleared of hidden bits of brick and concrete, skip filled, lawn mowed. I am beginning to think I should of broken myself in gently.

To be frank who doesn't like free stuff every now and again. But do you get things and then think why did I do that? Good intentions are there but they never come to fruition.

For example my friend had a new kitchen fitted in january, as I had little money left when I bought my house I had to make do with the old kitchen. Dated is an understatement, so looking to inject a hint of modernisation into my kitchen robbed her doors as soon as they were off. For three months now they have been sat in my house doing nothing, so yesterday they all got thrown into a skip. Reason for non fitment, the need to drill new fixing holes as the hinges weren't in the same position. At least I know I won't need to worry when her old leather sofa is passed into my direction. In replacement of current free sofa which came with the house.

There is a recycling group local to me where you can offer unwanted items for free and also ask for items you need. I've got rid of many things that way including a broken hoover, yes someone wanted a broken hoover!! which I also acquired for free but in a working condition.

I have though missed out sometimes, two days after buying a new TV I was offered a bigger and better TV for nothing. As my new purchase was part bought by my parents for my birthday they would not have been very happy if I traded up that quickly. Only after declining did my brain engage to the fact I could of told the little white lie of 'but this is the new TV I paid the extra'

But the most recent freebie, silver membership for as long I keep the icebreaker message running. When I first saw the offer I thought it was some ploy, but after Dominoxxz explained it in plain english (thanks again) my ice breaker was finally excepted today. Woo hoo.
