What do you think? I can't abide rudeness! I know I have a very high set of standards that I follow & I'm always disappointed when I trust someone to have the same level and they let me down. If you had made plans for someone and the night comes and I sit around waiting for that text that never comes, I'm going to be angry. If something has come up how hard s it to text saying just that ?? It's just common courtesy! Instead I get a text in the morning saying... Good morning happy hump day! No mention of our plans. I text back that I guess he had forgotten... Oh no there wass just a big emergency came up and worked all night on it! I sent him a text telling him I was no longer interested in pursuing this any further and good luck in your search. Too hasty? Should I have given him another chance? Would love to hear your thoughts. PS I'm a very busy gal and had to rearrange my schedule to accommodate this meeting. |

One and done. If you allow him to behave like that now, how will he later once he learns that you'll accept it? No excuse for the lack of communication...

If he had a number to text you at and plans HAD been made to meet....there is NO excuse for not sending you even a short text to let you know so you can do something with your evening.

Yes, I agree with pureromnce and DoctorBooty -- never forgive anyone of anything. It'll make you such a happier person. #smh If he appears to not have a clue as to what he did wrong or the gravity thereof, then yes, you should probably ditch him. But a single act of rudeness leading to a snap judgment is a bit narcissistic. Yeah, I think you acted too soon. You should have definitely tried to set something up, tell him how sexy you'll dress to make up for it, etc. Get him to set up a hotel room, rent a limo etc. Absolutely this is the plan!! Then go to a movie by yourself, turn your phone off.  Everyone is on a different plane of intelligence. Some people's plane has not taken off yet!!

Oh my! Two wrongs never make a right! This is very true, however, three rights make a left I think despite it not being thoroughly right it would have taught him a lesson...maybe Everyone is on a different plane of intelligence. Some people's plane has not taken off yet!!

He should have contacted you if he was not able to make the appointed time. It is common courtesy and shows respect. If it was such an emergency that he could not even contact you while dealing with his emergency, he should have explained it to you at the first opportunity. Don't let someone dis-respect/walk over you.

I am always so dumbfounded as to why a question like this even warrants 2nd thoughts. I mean I know the hot factor or displacement of fuilds but you state quite clear in your profile.You're exhibiting a weakness in your armor! Using more than all the road!
