Online Encounters
Online Encounters Drumroll please - this is my very FIRST blog post! Not just to this site, but ever anywhere! Welcome! I like the idea of blogging here for a few reasons, but mostly because I don't feel I have to censor what I say for fear of who may read it. BIG plus, right? So, as this is a sexual web site and used primarily for hooking up, I have a question for everyone: Is there a difference between a virtual relationship and one in real life? More specifically, if I am in a long-term serious relationship in real life is it okay to look around (and fool around) online? I have a feeling this is a question to which everyone has a different opinion. Please, share your opinions! I think I'm gonna like it here! - Knot |

Is there a difference? I say, yes. Virtual relationships should be left with no emotional attachments, strictly pleasurable whereas long-term relationships fulfill your emotional needs. I think it's healthy to "look around" as long as you practice safely.

Welcome to the blogs. As to your question; everyone has a variation on the definition of 'relationship'. I keep it simple, but break down relationship farther. You see, a friendship is a relationship. There are professional relationships. You're not asking about those, though. You're asking about romantic relationships, which involves emotions and obligations. Whether or not it's ok or not is up to you and your real-life partner. If you have to hide it, then you know the answer. Smart as a horse and hung like Einstein.
