April 15-18 2011 Well this is our blog on our journey into the world of swapping. We have decided to chronicle our trip down this road so that we can look back and see where we started and how this all plays out. Let's start with a little about us, We have been married for almost 19 years and have lived all our lives in Hawaii. Most of it, for both of us, on the Big Island. So I guess our journey truly started in Nov. 2009. While away on on a trip, I had called my wife as we do whenever we are away from each other. During this call my wife says that her and her friends were having a conversation and someone asked "what do you guys think about open marriages?". They had seen it talked about on some daytime talk show. All the women gave there responses and my wife's response was she was curious. So my wife asked me "would you be okay with an open marriage?". I thought about it for a while and then said that I would be okay with it. Well that topic dominated the conversations between us for about a week when we finally decide that we would do it. Well as we discussed the rules that we needed to follow for this "arrangement" my wife says that she would be uncomfortable with seeing me have sex with someone else or to have me watch her have sex with someone else and though I wanted to play together we decide that we would only play separately. Wife chose to only play with a friend that she had known since childhood and I chose to just play as the opportunity presented itself. So now it is April 2011 and my wife had stopped play but allowed me to continue. Early evening of April 14th as we are talking on our bed my wife asked me if I would be willing to go to a swingers' party. I said yes but would you be comfortable since other people will probably see you having sex. She is not sure but is willing to see where things lead. Well we started as anybody would in this information age. We Googled Swingers club on the island and could not find one, so we contacted one on O'ahu to see if they might know of one on this island. They responded by saying that they have no affiliation with one on our island but would like us to head up a sister branch of their group for them. Thought that was strange since we told them that we had no experience with this lifestyle and knew no one in the lifestyle April 15 Well, we decided to open a couple profile on Passion as a standard member an got some interest from a few couples but we could not few their profile as we were standard members. April 16 After being contacted by a member that allowed standard members to view their profile we decided that we needed to get a premium membership. We viewed a few profiles we had emailed a couple and waited for a response. A few more profiles and we start to wink at couples that peak our interest. We also accepted our first friend request. At night we worked a bit on our profile adding pictures and more information. April 17 Well we got a positive response to our email they are asking for pictures and we were a bit scared what if we are not good enough. well we put a few pictures together and send an email with more information about us. I know that they will respond well to my wife she is beautiful but my on the other hand could send them running to the hills. I guess adding pictures does help since adding picture we have had quite a few views, flirts and friend request. Viewed a few more profiles and sent a few flirts. April 18 Today we started our blog and we have noticed how excited we are to take this journey. Though we are a bit nervous not knowing what to expect or not know how we will react to our first encounter. We are excited to be doing this. |
