I suppose that too is perspective...thanks though for the kind comment! Should I remove my pics so I can get a little input on my ramblings?

No, don't remove the pics. I think there are lots of examples of people who accept and move beyond what limitations they've been dealt. Not to get nerdy, but look at Stephen Hawking. The guy can't do anything for himself except think. He's one of the greatest minds the world has ever seen. He doesn't let that stop him from going forward in his thoughts and theories about the universe.
BTW, the picture is very nice.

Thanks...my hubby likes that photo, it's up for him so it will stay up!

So...do you think Stephen Hawking is honestly aware of his chronological age and if so would the age conundrum apply. I don't think he is aware in the sense we are, while his life is filled with extreme learning, incredibly in depth research and the ability/willingness to ponder the universe his life experience is limited immensely! That world of experience is why we are aware of the compression of time as we age. It's also why in a tactile sense we are worlds ahead of him in awareness.

While the most incredible mind of our age...can he really be at peace with where/who he is...I can only hope so!!! If it's possible for him to find that peace I suppose only time is again the answer to how?!

I've read interviews with him and I think he's kind of been on borrowed time for about 25 years or so. I'm sure he's aware of everything going on with him. I think if he wasn't at peace, he couldn't do what he does so in depth and intently. He wouldn't be able to give it the proper effort.

I suppose because of his awareness of his condition there would be a sense of freedom from responsibility for his personal heath, that and acceptance because there is nothing he can do to change where he is. It appears as though he has little other outlet for expression so to commit himself so totally to his "work" is also a form of escape from the limitations of his body. All conjecture of course...he really has a fabulous mind!!!

Hi, we have 53 and 50 years old and limitations are not our limit. Age is natural, and we take the possible limitations in the future as natural things that we need to deal with. We are not 23...hehe, but we make love not like teenagers, but as mature 40's hehe.
Let's talk more about everything by messenger, ok? It's the same nick here, but the last number one, right? So add us If you want to share with us some experiences. Hugs and Kisses! Mary and Max

Hi Mary & Max,

Maturity has it's advantages for sure, while making love like a teenager can be energetic nothing beats the sensuality/sexuality of experience!

I appreciate all the flirts/hotlistings!!! I'm sorry but I don't chat, IM cyber or phone and I never kiss and tell...I prefer to meet, discuss, play in person! Shame you're so far away! OXOXOX, Sandi

Just found this post, very nice. This is a question that I just asked myself a couple of days ago, After turning 52. For a man age brings different things. I have been told that I am to old to play by some. Granted maybe I no longer can rock all night non stop. But with age does come wisdom and I think with woman a different set of expectations. More relaxed willing to take time to have a fun time. I feel that I know more ways to satisfy a woman than just one. Seems that with age that men are regarded as being Dirty if they seek sex. But now older woman are suppose to be out seeding their oats and encouraged to do so. MILFs are celebrated. Men that would have sex with youger women are cradle robbers. Srry I know that I am rambling here but I have to run and am trying to let some thoughts come out. I almost forgot, you are a stunning woman.

Thanks so much for the kind comment!

Thankfully age does impart wisdom to most and those are the only people I concern myself with, I have no time to waste on judgmental, discriminatory or close minded people!

Homophobia, a negative view of age (gender notwithstanding) and racial discrimination are alive and well. You should try being an older woman looking for sex...between terms like cougar, GILF, gold digger (cradle robber too) and more I haven't named are thrown around quite handily! It's really not a gender specific, more a matter of perspective!

With people becoming more self centered/selfish those labels help people justify their own often selfish needs/actions. You, I and many of us from this generation understand the pleasure and ease of living that wisdom and experience offer...the rest won't know until they get our age!!!

hmmm I guess from my experiences on here Women were kinda not put through that. I have been told by woman my age that they no longer want men of my age only younger. Seems I was wroung!
The harsh truth which you touched on, is wisdom. The midlife crisis is not wanting to grow more, except limitations and move on. More hair, a fast car, more shinny things or a boob job. I have met others on here. I have not played with everyone I have meet. But the times I have enjoyed the most, just being with others, have come from regular people. Honest people are doing this for the right reasons. They are the ones that show up when they set a date. They are the ones that say thanks you were great at the end.
I have never been cool or good looking enough to catch the really pretty ones. Probably best for me anyways. I much prefer a woman or couple that can tickle me between the ears. Make me laugh and feel like we are connected by shared beliefs, experiences and living. Years ago am old man told me a joke about two bulls. These two bulls are standing in a field looking at a field full of cows. The younger bull says " hey lets run down there and screw one of them cows". The old Bull looked at the younger one and says" lets just walk down there and screw them all". Ah the wisdom of age.

I can say with confidence that not everyone will have the same experiences, create the same reactions, interest the same people or agree with everyone else on here! Much like it is in the vanilla world!

Sadly the attainment of wisdom is only harsh to those unable to look inwardly with an honest view, wisdom is obtained more from experience that from any instruction! If we have a tainted view of the reasons for our successes and failures it's likely that we will continue to blunder through life without the benefit of that wisdom. That applies to those that blindly accept what others portray as truth instead of seeking the truth themselves!

What is cool or good looking to one is often unattractive to another, I/we don't allow trends, fads or opinions to color how we view anyone! "Regular people" that aren't trying to keep up with anyone, impress everyone or striving for approval are usually the most honest, wise and attractive people. Insecurity, poor self image, lack of personal confidence, lack of respect for others, aggressive attitudes, loud or pushy people are examples/symptomatic of those unwilling/unable to make an effort at personal growth!

My husband told me that joke a while ago...that sounds like male "wisdom"

Thank you for your kind comments, though I'm nearing the dreaded 60 milestone I feel more sexy now than I did at 25! That is more attitude about than physiology!!!

Most of the musings you read here are more about repetitive lessons than insight, life would have been so much easier if they were all insight!!!

ah Sandi... acceptance that all things are prefect just the way they are and living each moment in gratitude! If only the consciousness of the planet could more more in that direction! But there is nothing as constant, as change, and I hope and pray, human..beings move in that direction. But then... we've come full circle... back to acceptance... hmmmm
Enjoy the journey!
Ken

Thanks for sharing your beauty!
