New and improved... my arse!!!!

New and improved... my arse!!!! So log on to find that the new message centre has been forced upon me... Oh I'm not a happy girl. When they had changed it before without my consent. I was able to change it back, this action was done very quickly. Surely this would of been quite an obvious sign that I did not like it and did not want it. Having a quick read through the blogs I find its not only myself that doesn't like it and that the change has been imposed on everybody. Sometimes I feel like the site owners don't give a shit about what we want and so many people were opposed and they decided to do it anyway. Being disillusioned with this place in the past and having only recently come out from behind my comfy hiding place, I almost wanted to jack it all in again. Does anyone know of a petition page for the old message centre to be reinstated? Although not many used the function, at least the old messaging centre had the spell check facility. I can't even find it!!! |

New and improved is a phrase that does not apply to this site. If it is new here it is sure to be of a worse design and bring a whole new colony of bugs. If you see me in the real world, come say "Hi Justskin." I always behave. Preferably not well.

Yes, I had similar thoughts this morning when I saw it had been pushed on me too. I don't know if it's an improvement but I imagine it will just take a bit of getting used to. Though I'd prefer them to fix bugs rather than add new features.

I still seem to have the old message centre on my profile? I log into the site through pas$ion dot com though. You could try going there to see if you still get the old one? I learnt with the bling a while ago that the people who run this site really don't give a toss what the members here want or think. They took away bling backgrounds on profiles despite huge opposition to it in the site support blog, community site blog and the live from Passion group. It was the same before the bling with the kudos feature on the site, people wanted to keep it but they got rid of it. The old site layout was forced on everyone and then the new site design, despite huge numbers of people saying they prefered it to stay the way it used to be. They'll just do what they want with the site, trying to complain or get them to change their mind is like banging head up against a brick wall.  What annoys me is they keep tinkering with this and that and do nothing or little to fix the bugs or get rid of the fake profiles that so many people complain about. Grrrrrr
