Autoreply or no Autoreply?
A member just sent two messages. The first basically said "let's get in touch," and the next said "we block anyone with an autoreply."
It made us realize that there are pet peeves and other drama on this site that we have yet to understand. That's fine, but we certainly don't want to be missing opportunities to meet people because of a feature that we thought was helping us meet people. So were they just having a bad day? Or is autoreply really a no-no around here? Thanks!
Autoreply is fine, the more communication the better.
Autoreply is useless and only there for self-aggrandizement.

Rob, agreed. There isn't anything that can't go in the profile, and we reply to all emails quickly anyway.
Although, yeah, maybe we do want to 'weed out' someone so easily put off.
Anyhow we'll keep it off until we might be offline for a long time, or ever get to the point where 'we aren't meeting anyone new'
