DeClutter
DeClutter A little less clutter A little more space I just spent a full day going through three boxes of "stuff so valuable I had to pack it up, pay for storage and handle it several times" only for it to end up shredded and dumped into the dumpster. The worse part about this whole issue is that I realize now there are more boxes just like the ones I emptied still in the storage container. Seriously looking at what I keep and the reason I keep it. Another example of the changes in how I live now: Hand lotion and cream used to be something I would just go and pick up if I wanted regardless of how much I still had at home. Well now, guess what? I have, count them, eighteen different kinds of lotion from bottles with pumps to tubes that need to be squeezed. I have fast drying lotion and lotions that will remain on the skin for hours. It is going to take me years to finally use up what I have assuming no one gets me more for my birthday or Christmas. I also decided to start a website that will give away or sell for, oh say a dollar, those items I no longer need but are still in some good use. Find someone who wants what I have and they just pay for the shipping. Those VHS Disney tapes are on the short list for things to get rid of. This would not be to make money but to eliminate items and continue to reduce. Better get back to it while I am on this roll. *she looks at the next box, takes a deep breath and takes the top off...* Time to get back to the shredding. The trash is picked up in the morning at eight. |
