Love Equals Pain

Never tell me that you love me.
I do not wish for the pain.
You will leave because I am a she.
I do not wish for this again.

My heart is now closed for good.
My soul defeated and seared.
My need for affection not understood.
My mind jaded and very feared.

I go on and rarely tell
of how my heart is so shattered.
I show a false face never betraying my hell
of how that man left me so tattered.

I used to be strong.
I used to be bright.
I used to be never wrong.
I used to be a pretty sight.

But now I am lonely
and know in my heart
that I will only
love my , not another start.

I am so very nice and kind.
Maybe they are right,
that the nice person we find
is never the one to hold in the night.

Poetry in motion. We've got to set some music to those words! Nothing like that has been said that way since Lou Rawls 'Ain't No Shineshine Since She's Been Gone." I know, I know, I know...

Artists draw their inspiration from somewhere. Rainbows, snowfalls, joyous moments, crisis, lonely times, some places where no one should have to be. Ask Van Gogh about his ear?

Dear Almost, you see the pleas from those on this stupid lil' site who say make "lemonaide" out of lemons. That's what humans do. Turn it around! Make it work for UUUU! Got some music in mind for that sad tune. Wanna hear it? It goes --- Doo, whaa, ditty-doo-whatty -dum- whatty- dum -- just for starters. It does get better from that point...

Is it not said 'to know Happiness, you must know Sorrow'?

I hope this is only slightly a reflection of your mind set today.

It would be a tragedy to think you would really 'fold your cards and walk away from the table...'
