Thank you kindly SexSiren!

I have a very limited experience serving food to people but it had a powerful impact on me.

If a restaurant requires a Cover Charge or a TIP if there are more

a specific number in a group...I refuse to eat there and I tell the

manager why. I have been in the Restaurant and Bar business ALL my

NO one will tell me I must leave a tip for BAD service..

Nice Blog btw.

HAHAHAHA I LOVE the tips! Somehow I knew I would get a few good ones.

I am not old enough to remember the good old days when a tip was given before the service. But I do know it is important to the server to supplement the wages they are paid. Here in Arizona, they are not paid minimum wage. If they did not have a tip, they could not afford to work!!! lol

Stay in school, get an education, stand on your own two feet AND never rely on a man. Its what I've told my daughter.

Must have been one of those places that ' automatically' adds a tip if bill is above a certain amount? They must have charged on a card and did not add in the tip in the total... thats the only way I can see a charge even being possible. And, that would be a stretch

HAHAHAHA Oh my! Buy low, sell high, buy low, sell high, buy low, sell high.. okay I think I have it. Thanks for the TIP!!

My parents owned a restaurant when I was young. I have a deep appreciation for those who provide any service to me! There is also the fact that most of the time, it is not the server who controls the food issues. It is usually the cook. SO.. as long as he/she checks on me and does not hover I am usually good about the tip.

Interesting? MOI??? Thanks, uh,, I think...

Thanks for leaving the wow!!

Leaving tips is an interesting subject. I have never worked for them but I always assume what it would be like to do so.

Once on a Saturday, we got terrible service and I noticed our waitress running all around seeming frazzeled. When she finally returned to our table I asked her how her night was going. She told that all of the other waiters and waitresses had called in sick to watch the game. Even though the service was terrible I tipped her double for at least showing up when others didn't. I am quite sure she needed it.
