The Healer

This section will be a bit difficult to describe so please bear with me as I attempt to share what I have experienced. For four years a healer worked on the whole me. Here is a limited description of what I experienced.

Out of all the equipment in the healing room, the traction table is probably the most necessary and the most feared all at once.  This table was created back in the 1920's and was used during a time when the medical profession was not as organized as it is now.  People relied on keeping the body aligned and fit, not on the medical profession to give them a tiny pill to cure all their ills.  Opps, sorry for that little dip into bashing...  So, this healer has reworked the total table and uses it in his practice.

He had a standard spiel before anyone even gets close to that table.  There is an extensive body and breath work session as he feels the body and senses the organs.  If he feels those people will benefit from "The Table" then he will prepare them for the stretch.  At all times, it is up to the if he would like to do so.  Never is anyone put on "The Table" if they have any hesitancy.  He continues with the body work until the is ready and asks.

He worked on my body until it was obvious I needed to have a stretch on the table.

I thought it was going to be something out of The Addams Family .. You know where they stretch Lurch on his back and his back pops and Lurch says, "awwwweeeee".  Well, it is something like that but nothing like that at all!

My back had been jammed and compressed for over thirty years.  It was time for it to start expanding.

(This is also my first experience at being held without the ability to move.  Yes, I can wave my hands, but that is it...)  Let me explain.  I climbed up onto The Table and lay face down.  My ankles were placed in a cuff that is attached to the leg-end of The Table.  My head is placed in a harness and attached to the head-end of The Table.  The Table has two sections that separate with the twist of a handle.  So, you get the picture.

Depending on which part of the body needs work there is an additional harness for the rib cage area.

I have never been repaired like The Table has been able to fix.

Now that is only the physical aspect.  There is also the aspect of submission.  Truly the mind must submit to this table.  It must submit to the correction.  The body must submit to the release.  The emotional flow will happen.  The meridians will surge with energy.

There is recovery time that is necessary as the body truly wants to keep it in the same old place and condition.  Almost like surgery without the knife and no pins, plates or fusings.

I have a different set of exercises to keep the body in a balanced muscular condition.

Oh yes...

Truly to have the body opened and expanded has opened my heart.

I have experienced one of those stretching tables at the Chiro. Good stuff I agree. I am thinking about getting one of those 'inversion tables' myself - those 'self induced' type ones... ha
To go along with my massage table I have.

In general - stretching the framework of your body is a good healing thing to do for it. Gravity just plays hell with it all day... ha

Hope you are having a good evening
