Gay Marriage

Has your attitude about Gay Marriage changed over the course of time?

Originally, I was opposed--Gayness just seemed weird more than anything else. Gay Marriage seemed ultimate weird. (And I have to say, the level of opposition was about 3 on a scale of 1-10--10 being most opposed.) But now, I feel differently. After all, Gay couples can adopt, can enter into legal contracts, etc. Reasons like health insurance, visits to hospitals, wills, etc makes Gay marriage an idea whose time has come.

I am also aware that people can have an idee fix--and that Gay marriage is one of them. And any one who has had one of these things--an idee fix--than Gay Marriage becomes more and more comprehensible and acceptable.

So: has your attitude about Gay Marriage changed over time?
Yes, it has. At first I did not approve of Gay Marriage and now I approve
No, I did not approve of Gay Marriage and still do not approve
I have always been in favor of Gay Marriage
I have never been in favor of Gay Marriage

when i was a kid and my mom came out as a lesbian. that REALLY embarrassed me. as a kid, its something i NEVER ended up feeling comfortable telling others. just down right shameful. you can say that in a way i was put "in the closet" when my mom came out...

i'm older and wiser now. i have changed quite a bit. and am no longer bothered by it. my mother got married a few years ago before the marriage equality bill was passed in ny. it got me questioning... do they have to get re married all over again in order for them to have a legal marriage, or does their so called civil union automatically become into a legal thing already...
