Toilet Seat - Up or Down?


What do you think is the proper position to leave a toilet seat and lid, when you're done in the bathroom?
Lid and seat closed
Lid up, seat down
Both lid and seat up

 I voted lid up/seat up... but since there is only my brother and myself in the house, more accurate is lid up/seat either up or down.
I can live without winning the good fight... but I can not live without fighting it.

seat down. why would they put a lid on it if it is supposed to stay up. guys should never pee standing up. not a one of you can pee without getting it all over.

guys pee standing up 'cause they don't have to do any cleaning.

 I appreciate the drawing, and I would feel amused! but feng shui says that the lid never should remain open...
So: for my toilet fine, but for guests never...

If it's a manual flush, I gather all my stuff up, open the lock on the door, flush the toilet and try to run out of the stall as quickly as possible!
