When It Rains......

When It Rains...... When it rains, It pours. I found this to be true last week. What a week it was, so much blog inspiration I don't know where to start. So I guess I will jump in feet first and see where this ends up today. How ironic I found that while my brothers let go, lost their hope I for the first time held onto mine. Alittle over a year ago, my 42 year old brother suffered a massive stroke that left him in a wheelchair. He is now for the most part paralyzed on his right side. He was also denied disability for some God forsaken reason and has to get a lawyer (what is this world coming too !!! ) My father who refused to help me also, refuses to help him.. Last but not least, his wife whom he lived and breathed for for 12 years walked out on him while he was still in the rehabilitation center. My brother made a serious attempt to commit suicide last week. The reason being he held onto the hope that she his wife would change her mind and come back to him. While living with my Mother and brother he has slowly down spiraled , feeling betrayed by not only his country but his wife (visitations and phone calls even have stopped now)lead to his attempt. He has lost all hope... He survived. He is not happy about that. He will not let anyone help him.. My heartbreaks for him, all I have to offer him is hope and love, I am so thankful I still have some to share. We must hang on to our hope with both hands not only for ourselves but for the people in our lives, who knows you maybe the only person they know who has any. Let's let love and hope entangle and protect our hearts. I now step down from my soapbox. Thanks for listening.

All you can do for your brother is let him know you will help him in any way you can. As for your father, just let him know you disgree with him and that you think he's a bad example for your kids, maybe he shouldn't see them so often.....

God dont like Ugly, and your dad and your brothers wife are pure Ugly. Thank goodness he has you. Your a stand up gal LOve, I knew that anyways. You take care and do whatcha can and you know who to leave the rest to.  roaming the cyber streets of blogland

That's a heartbreaking story. Hopefully your brother is hitting rock bottom. So often, after you hit the bottom something happens and you rise from the ashes and fly like the Phoenix. Hopefully your family can unify and support him until he can fly again.

Hi Precious One!!! Gee, I understand when it rains now..... gosh I am so so so sorry!!! Bless your precious heart!!! I'm at a loss for words too! I don't know if it helps to say that there's always light at the end of the tunnel but I hate being helpless and not able to do anything for you!!! You will be in my prayers, I promise!!! Love to You, honey!!! Sometimes we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
