Down on your knees!!! ok, sorry about the trick, but now that I have your attention.  Ranting number too, or two. I am constantly bombarded by all the things that the ladies don't like about the email approaches that are sent to them. Well, here is part two on MY perspective on this world of A and an F and an F. Yea, yea, yea, I have read [post 382854]. Not a bad read. And guys if you haven't read it, do. I read the profile! Ladies if you don't like some of the responses to items in your profile. Don't put those items there. You can edit it. Ladies, if you give us absolutely nothing to work with on your profile. Expect the straight, "wanna fuck!" Otherwise, give us something of who you are and what you are looking for here. Ok, I have to say that I figure, you ladies, get up to 1000 times the emails of us guys. So, I can see that as a real problem. If you have a solution, I am open to ideas! If a guy, reads your profile and makes a clever comment or states a common interest, we are trying. If you find it interesting enough to go and take a look at their profile and you find something that is a deal breaker for you. Maybe shoot them a reply and state the deal breaker. No thank you, not interested. (<<<this is the polite key phrase.) End of story. Guys, it is a deal breaker - move on, get over it. NO, and I can't stress this enough, retaliation emails back. That is just rude and impolite!! PERIOD!!! Ladies, if you get to his profile and his stats look good, then the picture is the deal breaker, send him a kind reply. Sorry, not interested, I see no chemistry. OR No thank you, not interested. (<<<this is the polite key phrase.) Ok, guys, same goes!! Listen, then move on! These replies are just a courtesy from you ladies, but if the guy, really did the work. It would be nice. Ladies, if all you have in your profile is a challenge and you have thrown the gauntlet down, and a guy responds with anything remotely like a completion of said challenge. A simple reply would be appreciated. YOU did set up the reply!! If you found the completion of said challenge at all remotely clever, entertaining, or just stupid - a response should be sent. Again, you did ask for the reply and the guy has worked some. Ladies, if you don't want emails at all then by all means set up your email so that you can not receive them. If you want emails, you have to take some of the good with the bad. That is life. But give some of the good a chance. Don't just lump all the emails in to the bad. If you are, and are angry and bitter, there must be a happier place for you to go! Ladies, I am a man with a very sarcastic sense of humor, so the hanging out to dry of the occasional email to let everyone see, is fine by me. But again, don't bash the whole thing. Well, just wanted to have a GUYS say in all this email game. Thanks for the time. And these are my opinions and may not be those of all guys here. But this is my counter point to the ladies side. NICE OPENER DUDE!! I usually E-Mail a few girls at a time if I am trying to get responses from new girls on here. I condition them to the content in their profile but keep it towards interests I have as well, not straying from the real me. I also give plenty of time for a response, impatience can be misconstrewed as pushiness. When E-mailing or responding to guys...well we aren't uptight so we pretty much answer everyone with a somewhat decent response. Or atleast I do. Guys can talk about anything...it just sucks when you find out he's gay and trying to pick you up. At that time I dish out the "Sorry, not interested" then chat without being all weird about it. Or if they can't take the hint, I block, ban, and completely ignore them. That usually works. -Later

My mailbox is usually pretty lonely. But I get more winks and added to the useless hot list with my boob pic then just my eyes. Oh Great and Powerful Mav why do you think that is? Good post by the way I am impressed. Juicy

Mav.... I agree...I see women bitch about getting awful emails from men; then I peek at their profiles and think..."DER....you're getting exactly what you deserve with that." That said...I have my email set up where I'm only recieving mail from women and couples; my "filtered box" is filled, and I state it pretty clearly on my profile that I'm not seeking anyone and I don't want contact with single males unless I contact them first. I think some guys just use a scattershot approach...email as many women as you can and, odds are..someone will respond. But that just reeks of desperation which is sooooooo unsexy.

When I first joined, I sent emails out. Now I'm the sort of guy that reads about the woman, and assumes that what she says in her profile is fairly accurate. I also liked to personalise the email as opposed to a generic cut and paste type thing which a lot of women complain of. Not one single reply. Oh well... I guess it's cause I'm an ugly fucker. LOL

"ugly fucker" ....isn't that a bit harsh...I can't see any ungliness on this blog anywhere. i like what's been said and for me...and yes...we women get a lot of mail.../ male. I have answered more when they've been clothed and use more words than ...4 to get my attention. there are some really worth replying to ...*S* even at my age. sigh m.

I will completely agree with all of those points. I try to reply to every email, provided the guy has read the damn profile, and isn't obnoxious.

Mav, I so agree with you (love your blog BTW - just started watching it now). I always send a reply to every e-mail I get, even if it is just the standard "not interested" one from the drop down list. It's a basic courtesy and Passion make it easy enough to do. I'm interested that some women claim to get shedloads of e-mails and some admit they don't get very many. And it's not always because of an asset-showing picture. I'm one of those who doesn't get many, which I'm glad about. I think that's because: a. I don't (yet) have a blog b. I don't have a picture c. My handle suggests I'm only loking at women, which is actually not the case at all - but it's a useful smokescreen And I prefer to hunt men out for myself, usually as potential friends and sometimes as a potential shag. Unlike many men, I do read people's profiles. Like many women, I read between the lines as well. You, Mav, would definitely have had an e-mail from me if we lived in the same country - even being on the same continent would help! Blogito ergo sum.
